Overview

BetterKeyframes is an advanced keyframe management addon that enhances Blender’s animation workflow by merging the functionality of BetterKeyframes and Bulk Keyframe Saver into a single, streamlined tool. It introduces precise keyframe copying, pasting, batch keyframe saving, visibility keyframing, and f-curve management—all within a simple N-Panel interface.

🔹 Smart Keyframe Copy & Paste

• Copy keyframes within the selected frame range for Location, Rotation, Scale, and Visibility.
• Paste keyframes at the current frame while preserving original spacing.
• Selective Visibility Handling: Exclude viewport and render visibility keyframes when pasting.

🔹 Bulk Keyframe Saver (Frame-by-Frame Auto-Keying)

• Save keyframes on every frame for selected objects and bones.
• Detects Rotation Mode (Euler, Quaternion, Axis-Angle) and applies keyframes accordingly.
• Ghost Keyframe Removal: Removes keyframes from non-selected bones when bulk saving.

How It Works

1. Copy & Paste Keyframes – Select an object, copy keyframes in a range, and paste them at a new frame.
2. Bulk Save Animation Data – Automatically insert keyframes for Location, Rotation, Scale, and Visibility on every frame.
3. Manage F-Curves – Remove unwanted keyframes, toggle visibility, and fine-tune animations efficiently.
4. Visibility Animation – Use quick buttons to show/hide objects in the viewport or render over time.

Installation

1. Download the .py file from Gumroad.
2. Open Blender and go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons.
3. Click Install, then select the downloaded .py file.
4. Enable the addon by checking the box next to BetterKeyframes.
5. The BetterKeyframes panel will appear under 3D Viewport → Sidebar → Better Blender.

Usage Tips

• For Animators: Use Bulk Save Keyframes for frame-by-frame animation without missing key poses.
• For Rigging: Select bones and enable Selected Bones Only to keyframe specific controls.
• For Cleanup: Use Remove Visibility Keyframes to declutter animation data.
